Kenny died of cancer October 19, 1993. I attended the visitation. One thing struck me as I got out the yearbook that evening and looked at the football team picture. Everyone who stood around Kenny except for one person who was out of town was at that visitation. I understood what "football buddies" meant. DKD

Kenny was a good friend when I was in high school. I wasn't atheltic or popular, but he always made feel like I belonged whenever we were together at a social function. His greatest gift was his ability to make others feel good about themselves. He never put others down, and I think that's what made him stand out so well. I still miss him and his kindness. Kenny and I dated for a while not too long after we were out of high school. We used to go dancing over at some place near the high school. Can't remember the name but it was a teenage nightclub. One of my strongest memories of Kenny was dancing with him when he suddenly picked me completely up and began swinging me in circles on the dance floor yelling "Aahhhh!!!" He was unpredictable,fun-loving and one of the sweetest guys I knew back then. I was deeply saddened when I heard of his passing years ago.

I was thinking about Kenny today and after reading what others wrote I can only duplicate the great traits in his entire personality.  Kenny was very kind to me and like Mark said, gave you the feeling of belonging.  He would be the first to greet me on many occasions.  I thought about special people and am trying to remember.  I know I got to kiss his cheek once.

Kenny was my boyfriend for quite a long time at Fairborn HS, and because we had lost touch years ago, I was not aware of his passing.  It is always a "reality check", to learn of the passing of someone you cared about deeply and who was so young at heart!  As mentioned earlier, he was always so sweet to me and loved to dance and laugh.  I think he is dancing and laughing on the other side, and those that have passed on are enjoying his great personality!!

Christy:

I remember when Kenny and you were dating.  What a fun time.  He cared so much for you.  I miss those times when we all hung out together.  Kenny will always be a good friend of mine, and my dad and brothers.

About one year after high school I moved away to finish college and begin my career opportunities.  My biggest regret in moving away from Fairborn is not being around my immediate family, 56 cousins in the OH/KY area, and high school friendships.  I still miss everybody today.

Take-care,

Mike
