I was very sad to hear Judy passed away.  She was always an inspiration for her athletic abilities and personality. I always thought she was so pretty, and just a friendly person.  I was, however, tickled to find out she had twins.  I thought it was just wonderful that God would give her two little Judys!  Rest in peace, Judy.

1964-1964 Grade 4, St. Stephen @MHC

Judy and I attended Mary Help parochial school together along with Nicki Kelley, Peggy Francis, Pati Hobbs, Ann Carney, Meg Mooney, and Patty Colligan. We were all close friends and enjoyed Girl Scout activities, especially camping. Judy's dad was transferred after 4th grade, 1964. I did not know that she had return to Fairborn until I started HS (10-12) and we reconnected in Flyerettes. She piqued our curiosity, as she was now a grade ahead of us, although she was the same adorable and sweet little girl in HS that I remembered from parochial school. In our grade school class photos, she looks the same as she did the last time I saw her. During last minute Christmas shopping at De Clarke's in Town & Country Stopping Center, we bumped into each. We chatted briefly, as it was during the holidays and we had tons of errands. That was a few years after college, and she was living in Oakwood. Judy was a gentle soul and a genuinely lovely person. I was shocked when I heard of her death, especially after so many years. My memories of and with Judy are vivid...laughing, complaining about the nuns, chatting non-stop, and enjoying 4th grade.

ANY memory of Judy always puts a smile on my face.  She was a genuinely caring, warm hearted, upbeat person every time I had the pleasure of being in her presence.  My last contact with her was at the 10 year reunion I beleive and she needed a ride back to her hotel.  I drove her there and really enjoyed just talking about our classmates, the band, Flyerettes and life.  The drive was too short, she gave me a sweet hug and walked into the hotel.  That was my last contact with her and I will never forget how good it felt just to be in her presence and have her as a friend.  Such a sweet soul.  Just the thought of her puts a smile on my face and always will.  I am a richer person for knowing her.

Judy had such a great spirit.  She would always laugh at my dumb jokes and really knew how to find and appreciate "fun!"

All - I have not checked this site for some time and I am so deeply touched by all the comments about my sister, Judy. Kathi, thanks especially for the picture of her from elementary school :-) I am going to share these posts with her daughters and my parents. Yes, my parents are still alive.  My mother who is now 86 moved to Beavercreek shortly after Judy passed away and has been here for ten years now. She lives on her own and is as sharp as ever. My oldest sister, Joanne, also moved here last year. Funny how we all left and somehow we  managed to end up back near Fairborn.  Sister, Jamie, is married and lives in Frederick, MD. Our dad has been remarried for over 40 years now and lives in Virginia. He has been burning up his Space A travel privledges to see a good part of the world and is doing well.  He is 85.  Judy's twins, Jennifer and Christine are both married and doing well also.  Jen married an Annapolis grad and is currently stationed in Japan. Christine is married with one adorable little girl named Quinn and lives in Columbus. As you can imagine, I can't look at Quinn without thinking how much Judy would have loved on her and tickled her and played with her.  Judy just had that playful personality. I love on Quinn for Judy though and know she watches us all every day. My family didn't nickname me "Little Judy" for nothing :-) Take care and thanks again for the great stories and wonderful memories you have of Judy.  Just the Best!  - Patti
