Mark A. Adkins, age 67 of Yellow Springs, OH, passed away Friday, July 3, 2020. He was born December 28, 1952, in Xenia, OH, the son of the late Arnold and Edith (McDaniel) Adkins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Jean (FHS-69) in June of 2018.

Survivors include four children, Angi Adkins and Marci Adkins both of Fairborn, OH; Nikki (FHS-95) (Todd) Frankenberg of Waynesville, OH; and Mark Adkins II of Fairborn, OH. five grandchildren, Cory, Morgan, Kolton, Karlie, and Kloe; three great-grandchildren, Corissa, Landon, and Ezella; two brothers, Greg Adkins and Doug Adkins; two sisters, Deby (PH-73) (Roger) Moore and Michelle (Junior) Gabbard; his beloved dog, Fergie; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and tight-knit neighbors.

A family man who loved his children and grandchildren, Mark was close with all of his siblings. He was employed as a shop foreman with Yost Superior Company, retiring in May of this year after 49 years of service. An avid car enthusiast, Mark raced at KilKare for many years and enjoyed all makes and models of automobiles. He valued the many friendships he had through the hot-rod community.
