So sorry to hear about Kathy Cross. We were fellow Flyerettes and friends. I'll always remember her beautiful smile. May her family find comfort and peace knowing Kathy is with The Lord.

I am so sorry to hear of Kathy's passing on. We were at Greenacres sharing that pool for many years. Also shared time in Flyerettes while in High School. Just feels very shocking to read about. Best wishes to Kathy's mother and all of her family.

Kathy was a special person in my life. A bubble of energy, with a wonderful smile and a zest for life. I think about our high school days and she comes to mind in each one.  Teaching me to dance at TAC, meeting at her house to organize skating on the ponds. Parking my car at the top of the hill so when her mom and dad kicked me out at night, I knew I could jump start the car by popping the clutch down the hill. Her dad asked me to take good care of her at OSU, and I know I failed in that request, but she was on top of her game there all on her own. A terrific person with a great family in Fairborn and her own in Pittsburgh. Of course, we lost touch in college, but I've had the pleasure of meeting one of her sons, AJ...a great person just like his mom.  I am crushed learning about her leaving us. I thought we might re-connect at our 50th. She was a truly wonderful woman.

Dear sweet Kathy Cross. One of my first questions to Barry Hall when I became a member of this website is if he knew how to reach Cathy. I remember how special you were to her Barry, and I am sorry for your loss. One of my favorite people from our days at Fairborn Baker High School, and Ohio State too. I read that Kathy became a librarian, married an Italian, and had many children and grandchildren, all of which makes me so happy to hear. Kathy seems to carry a spritual presence about her, like a little mustard seed of hope for the well being of herself and others. One thing I am sure of is that her children and grandchildren grew up with Easter 'peeps'. Life only gave us minutes of knowing each other, and as we grew up at Ohio State we went out separate ways; except I will always remember sharing an important part of my life with her and learning about life with her. God Bless you Cathy, and your family. Michelle Mancuso

Thank you for th kind comments Shelley.  I reconnected with Kathy several years after graduation when I was in the oil and gas business living  in Pennsylvania.

I called on an O+G company in Pittsburgh and met Kathys husband...who provided me her phone number. We talked on the phone a couple of times for maybe an hour or so each time. We spoke mostly about our kids and some of the old memories at FHS.

She was a beautiful person...with a beautiful sole and heart to match. It's truely amazing that as she was just a little bit of a person...one that left such a huge footprint in this world and on the lives of all that met and knew her.

Much love to you all...take care...stay safe...
