Gary Lee Huff, 68, of Hillsboro, OH, passed away Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021. He was born January 10, 1953, in Hindman, KY, the son of Phyllis (Barker) Huff and the late Carl Huff, Jr., before moving to Ohio as a young child with his family. In addition to his wife, Pamela, and children, Jennifer (Brian) Smyers of Lebanon, OH, Jessica (Andrew) Saltzman of Lebanon, OH, and Zachary Huff of Dayton, OH; Gary leaves behind his mother, Phylis Huff of Hillsboro, OH; brother, Michael Huff of Hillsboro, OH; and sister, Carla (PH-76) (George) Kelley of Stevinson, CA; stepson, Robbie Merkle of Dayton, OH; 7 grandchildren, Alyssa, Brendan, Ayden, Blake, Madelyn, Xavier, and Brielle; and numerous nieces and nephews. Gary was a graduate of Fairborn High School and retired from Wright-Patterson AFB after 39 years of service. He had a passion for fishing, hunting, Vegas, and classic cars. Like his father, he also had a great love for animals and has rescued several over the years that were dear to his heart.
