CULP, JR., Charles Edward Mr. Culp was a former resident of Dayton, Ohio and most recently of Lexington. South Carolina. He went to be with the Lord on October 29, 2009. He was born November 16, 1952 in Dayton, Ohio to Retha (Boothby) and Charles E. Culp, Sr. He was previously employed by Genuine Parts Co. (NAPA). He is survived by his sons, Charles E. Culp, III (Sarah) of Colorado and Timothy Culp of Elyria, Ohio, his grandchildren, Hannah and Alexander. Siblings: Wayne (Cindi) of Lexington, S.C., Theresa of Columbus, Richard (Annie) Vinton, Edward (Denise) of Dayton, and a host of nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents, mother, father, sisters Mary Frances & Christina Louise, brothers: Forrest and Kevin. Charlie wished to thank his many friends of Bill Wilson for their love, loyalty and support. His family wishes to thank his oncologist, Dr. Samir Kasbari in N.C. and his wonderful staff, the S.C. Hospice team: Dr. Betts, nurse Cathy, aid Gwen and social worker Jacque. They will never be forgotten for their loving care of Charlie. Memorial services will be held Friday, November 6, 2009 10:00 at Brookville First United Methodist Church, 963 Salem Street, Brookville, Ohio. Interment will be at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens in Brookville, Ohio immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be sent to Heartland Hospice Memorial Fund, 141 Stoneridge Drive, Columbia, S.C. 29210

Charlie moved to Fairborn his senior year from Tecumseh High School as Tecumseh had eliminated football in the failure of a levy. I began school with Charlie at Medway Elementary and attended school with him until I moved to Fairborn in the 6th grade. DKD

Robert Myers

Charlie was a helluva tough fullback for the Flyers ... if you tackled him at practice, you'd better be prepared for a collision. I remember him as a nice guy. R.I.P.Charlie.
