I think I am a little confused. I thought your wife’s name was Linda but it doesn’t matter. What matters is you lost your wife. I too lost mine several years ago. It’s a tough life after losing our beloved spouses. I see you are in Yellow Springs. How lucky you are to be in such a beautiful area. I live in NYC, RichmondVA, Miami Beach. My job in publishing required a lot of traveling from all over the world but wherever I am I feel very lucky that we all had a great childhoods in Fairborn at 69 and 70.Truman. I still am very close to Paula Bockstedt and her family which keeps me aware of life still in Fairborn. Keith, we were too damn young to lose our spouses. Today FHS sent a message about Gene Brennan passing. It made me reflect on our band days. Egads, where does the time go. Take care.

I will never forget that summer in Cincinnati where I was living since I landed a Latin teaching job at Walnut HS and you were still at Miami. You got a part time job at Zino's and showed up one day in your SLIP....LOL. That summer your boyfriend came to Cincy and we won three horse races at the track. I bet you were the best in PYSICAL THERAPY. I remember that getting into the PT program at OSU was as hard as Med School. I think you were the first person I know who went to College at Sea. I also remember you said you would end up in CA and you did. You were also the nicest FLYERETTE! But most of all your parents were institutions in Fairborn. Your Dad with his sterling insurance business and your Mom our school secretary.

CAROL, I saw your birthday coming up. It made me think of your father who sadly died so young. We all met him on a field trip to the FIRE DEPT. I remember he was such a stately man.Give me best to Steve, I think he was in my senior HRoom.
If you are ever in Nyc or Miami Beach..DRINKS ON ME.

I just got home and the doorman called to tell me a letter was returned.
Today,
I bought theatre tickets for my godchild...Funny Girl...the tickets were so over priced but what isnt.I laugh when they say there are senior discount tickets.
There are very few and you arr sitting in the restroom...lol.

I love SC..I have very close friends who developed the golf courses at Kiawah.
A neighbor in Richmond built the Sanctuary Hotel in Kiawah.
How lucky u are to live in such a beautiful area...plus the food. We had looked at a place down by the Battery.

CHRISTINE what a lovely surprise. Just think we gi back all the way to 5th grade MRS SWAIM. Our mothers always helped out. Christine my spouse ANNETTE BOOKER MCGHEE has passed also. Luckily...Paula Bockstedt and family came for a week to help. Christine i always thought the cruelest thing was u not being in Choraliers. You deserved it. But u know FHS descriminated. Ex. Every year at graduation the top ten percent was listed but since certain kids didnt have the grades they changed it to NHS which was not solely academic. Ex. Steve Ferguson in top ten...no star..no NHS...awarded three scholarships one to CASE WESTERN...plus as u know those of us who lived south of the tracks. How stupid it was. Here your parents...your father a lawyer ...were pure class. My family ran into your Mom and Dad at the POLYNESIAN? and as my mother said...your Mom and Dad were the most elegant there. Actually we were lucky at FIVE POINTS to have sych great teachers...MRS EDEN MR WELTY MR DIPIRO MR SWAIM ETC. I have to laugh here i am a FULBRIGHT SCHOLAR to Italy and I am worried about CHORALIERS AND NHS lol lol lol lol. I think it said u were in South Dakota. I have family in MONTANA beautiful states but my lands...THE WINTERS. Christine you were and are a shining star.
